Man o' War Look-Alike Contest Announced

The Kentucky Horse Park and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital have joined together to create the My Man o' War Look-Alike photo contest. This social media event challenges horse owners to submit photos of their horse recreating a famous photo of Man o' War that is posted on the Kentucky Horse Park, Rood & Riddle, and Hats Off Day Facebook pages. The contest is open to any equine breed and gender. To be eligible, the horse must have a similar pose and/or likeness to Man o' War, based on the photo shown on Facebook.

The winning horse's photograph will be shown on the Jumbotron in Rolex Stadium on Hats Off to Kentucky's Horse Industry Day on Saturday, July 29, 2017 prior to the $50,000 Rood & Riddle Kentucky Grand Prix. The winning owner will be recognized and will receive a gift basket of prizes from the Kentucky Horse Park and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital.

The contest invites applicants to submit photos to MyManoWarContest@gmail.com by midnight Sunday, July 16.

The Kentucky Horse Park is a working horse farm/theme park and equine competition facility dedicated to man's relationship with the horse. The park is an agency of the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet that showcases the many equestrian breeds and disciplines of the American horse industry, and hosts a number of high profile horse shows and special events each year attracting visitors, competitors and horses from across the United States and all around the world. The park is home to the International Museum of the Horse, a Smithsonian Affiliate, dedicated to exploring the history of horses and their impact on human civilization, as well as the National Horse Center, comprising national, regional and state equine organizations and associations.
