Agricultural Education and KHC: We are Kentucky Proud

Education is one of the core tenets of the Kentucky Horse Council and it guides nearly every initiative we undertake. Did you know that the KHC partners with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for their Mobile Science Activity Center?
There are three of these trailers that travel the Commonwealth, visiting thousands of students in fourth and fifth grades each year and teaching kids all about agriculture and the environment (additional grade levels can be taught upon request). Each 44-foot trailer is chock full of everything needed for super-fun activities like making Biodegradable Corn Plastic, Ice Cream in a Bag, Soy Lip Balm, Gluep and more. All activities align with Scientific Inquiry in Kentucky's Education Standards.
We are so lucky to partner with great organizations like Kentucky Cattlemen's Association, The Kentucky Dairy Development Council, The Dairy Alliance, Kentucky Poultry Federation, Kentucky Farm Bureau, Kentucky Ag and Environment in the Classroom, Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund, Kentucky Corn Growers Association, Kentucky Soybean Board, Farm Credit Mid-America, Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association, Kentucky Beef Council, Commonwealth Agri-energy, AgriBusiness Association of Kentucky, Kentucky Livestock Coalition, Kentucky Pork Producers and Soil Conservation Districts of Kentucky. We are all truly Kentucky proud.
It takes a village to share the message of the importance of agriculture to Kentucky and the KHC is deeply proud to be counted among these great organizations that focus on educating our youth in addition to all of the other work they do.
