Bevin Makes Appointments to Kentucky Boards

Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions;

- Anthony J. Parnigoni, Shanna Osborne, Rachael E. Peake, Francine C. Sloan, Raymond Meyer and Patsy Elizabeth Wilson have been appointed to the Kentucky Grape and Wine Council. Parnigoni, of Crittenden, is owner of Brianza Gardens and Winery. He will represent winery operators and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020. Osborne, of Owenton, is general manager of Elk Creek Vineyards. She will represent grape producers and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020. Peake, of Frankfort, is owner of Capital Cellars. She will represent citizens at-large and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2021. Sloan, of Lawrenceburg, is owner of Rising Sons Winery. She will represent winery operators and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2021. Meyer, of Shepherdsville, is a retired civil engineer and wine distributor. He will represent citizens at-large and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2019. Wilson, of Lexington, is a viticulture extension specialist with the University of Kentucky. She will represent the University of Kentucky Agriculture Experiment Station and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2021.

The Kentucky Grape and Wine Council promotes and facilitates the development of a Kentucky-based grape industry in the Commonwealth.

- James J. Bertram Jr. has been appointed to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Bertram , of Taylor Mill, is a surveyor and director for Keystone Surveying and Mapping, Inc. He will represent professional land surveyors and serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.

The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of engineers and land surveyors within the Commonwealth.

- Linda L. Rumpke has been appointed to the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation Board of Directors. Rumpke, of Bardstown, is director of finance for Columbia Gas of Kentucky. She will represent commercial lending officers and serve for a term expiring June 26, 2021.

The Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation Board of Directors works to improve and promote the health and general welfare of the Kentuckians through the promotion of agriculture within the Commonwealth.
